System Optimization
Through our background in the fly ash marketing business, LB's key personnel have experience with all major brands
of ash handling equipment. LB can analyze and identify causes of sub-standard performance and recommend options to
remedy the problem. Customers rely on LB to assist them with important operating and capital investment decisions
for improving system performance.
Laboratory Testing Services
LB strives to predict the performance of any new facility prior to construction. A vital tool for this process is
our results-oriented Testing Lab, which allows us to perform bench or pilot scale tests on proposed new systems
or technologies. This capability has been instrumental in the development of many of our innovative offerings,
including:
- Dense phase conveying of fly ash over one mile at 250 tons per hour
- Vacuum removal of fly ash from mass storage tanks
- Conditioning of class "C" ash
- Mechanical economizer ash collection
- Feeding, blending, classification, screening, drying and cooling systems
We can also instrument and document the performance of full size installations. In addition to our own facilities,
we maintain good working relationships with recognized industry specialists in materials testing to complement our
services.
